Survival is looking for an efficient worker to manage its supporter services from its London office. Knowledge of databases and excellent written English are essential.

We need someone who enjoys working in a busy environment and dealing with the public, and possesses excellent communication skills. You will be very organised, numerate, able to prioritise and have good planning skills. Having an eye for detail and accuracy and good typing skills are required for this role. Commitment and intelligence count as much as experience.

You will be expected to manage our supporter databases and be responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of a wide variety of supporter service activities.

We currently have supporters in over 60 countries. Their help is the key to the future for many of the world’s most threatened tribal peoples. You will help us achieve our goal of changing public opinion, which is the most effective force for change.

Starting salary: c. £18k

Publications Assistant (London)

Starting salary: £14,000 – £15,000

Would you like to help produce outstanding publications for the world’s leading organisation supporting tribal peoples?

We need someone who is extremely efficient, dynamic, resourceful and meticulous to contribute to our busy publications department and help manage our photo library.

Through Survival’s printed material you will be helping to communicate our vital message and raise awareness of our urgent work for threatened tribes. You will play a vital part in the production of our high quality publications, which aim to bring the voice of tribal peoples to the world; to engage, challenge, persuade and motivate; to raise awareness and change minds.

You will need to be computer-literate, preferably proficient in Quark Xpress, Photoshop and Illustrator. Some experience of the printing process and print-buying would be an advantage.

You will need to enjoy developing, maintaining and improving efficient systems and have a very keen eye for detail. Excellent writing, proof-reading, numeracy and communications skills are all important, as is a good visual sense. Knowledge of European languages and/or photography would also be useful.

Outreach and Fundraising Intern

The successful applicant will be part of our Outreach and Fundraising Department, helping to research and implement new and existing initiatives. You will work alongside the Outreach Officer, as well as manage your own project and assist with administrative tasks. This post is ideal for those wishing to pursue a future career in the non-profit sector.
