Two places on this incredible three-week guided tour have been donated by Ecotribal, the only eco-tour company endorsed by Survival that visits tribal peoples, at their request. The winner will journey through the rainforest, along a remote Amazonian headwater, and visit three different Asháninka communities. Another highlight will be a trip to the awe-inspiring Inca site, Machu Picchu.
In 2004, the Asháninka were forced to sell the mahogany on their land. It was in response to this that Ecotribal was set up. The eco-tour company now provide the tribe with a sustainable and direct source of income.
